If you are new here you can't post pictures until you are registered, and then (usually after a week or so. (Prevents nasty pictures). If you are a regular poster, the pictures didn't work.
If the Alternator is a Delco 10SI, there are 3 terminals, A big stud/nut post that goes to the amp meter load side (if it has not been rewired for negative ground, the Amp gauge terminals must be switched for proper operation.) This is the terminal that connects to the fuse and the key, and the old wire from the voltage regulator, it should be 10 gauge.
The other 2 wires are connected with spade terminals in a connector at the edge of the alt housing. The #2 terminal attaches to the big stud terminal directly with 14 gauge wire, it senses voltage. The #1 terminal has a 3 amp diode with band on diode toward alt), or a marker lamp bulb, or a 10 ohm resistor in line (series) with it (14 gauge wire is good). The (Diode, orLamp, or Resistor other lead connects to the Key side of the coil (or the Key side of the ballast resistor before the coil if it has one). The diode or lamp, or resistor prevent the engine from continuing to run when the key is turned off. I hope this is what you need. Jim
