Our family near Muncie in had 2 886 tractors bought brand new in 1978 for over 20 years. Reliable enough but they are basically a four bottom tractor. Without a turbo they lug down pretty quick in heavy ground. You definitely have to dual it up but we also had a 1066 and 1466 bought used after the 886s came to the farm. If you are going with an ih tractor get a 1466, best tractor ih ever made. Don't buy one that has had the pump turned up, the crankshaft won't handle it.
