Hi, does it have the old style fuel filters with the filter element inside a metal canister? There should be a bleed screw on top of filter holder and a drain screw in the bottom of the filter canister. Start tractor a let it warm up. Then shut off and with a clean bucket under the filter, loosen the top bleed screw, then loosen the drain plug in the bottom of the filter. Let fuel drain out of filter. Tighten drain plug, Place one hand on bottom of filter and remove filter canister hold up bolt. Wiggle filter canister and it should break loose. Take notice the way the old filter is installed in the canister and install the new one the same. The new filter may be supplied with up to three different O-rings for the filter gasket. You must choose the correct one. It is a real PITA to remove the old O-ring. Use a small flat blade screw driver or dental pick. You must get every bit of old O-ring out of the groove or the filter will leak. After the O-ring has been replace re-install the filter canister with the new filter element. Becareful not to over tighten the canister bolt. With the bleed screw on top of filter housing open, start pumping the hand pump until a steady stream of fuel comes out without air bubbles. Attempt to close bleed screw on the down stroke of the hand pump.
Next pull throttle wide open and attempt to start the tractor. If all goes well it will start.
