You have to keep those handles tight enough that there're pretty hard to flip by hand or when the blade does a little jumping the handles will pop loose, had mine all apart and put a little grease under the lever cams on reassembly, don't do that. Incidentally found red paint inside, no yellow. IH dealer said the decal was not available about 15 years ago when I bought this, think it was supposed to be a long skinny decal down the top of the long hitch tube. I think these blades came out when the 200 tractors came out after the Super Cs. Only place I've ever seen one of these blades is pictures on this site or E Bay, took the tractor and blade to a threshing show and it drew quit a bit of interest, don't think there we many around here our they all got scrapped years ago. The tractor was painted in 1991/ picture taken last winter.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
