I believe your "screw head" is a t-handle that is broken off. A close inspection should reveal a jagged face. I don't have a listing for your carb number. If the right listing was found, it would answer your question. The condition your adjusting screw is in, all it is doing is plugging the hole. Someone may have put it in just for that purpose. The first Super As (before yours) used the same carbs as the A. They used an 18 (about 0.0354 inch) main jet for gas and a 19 (about 0.0374 inch) for distillate (not much difference). Yours may vary a little, but can't by much. How is it running (if it is running)? If it runs fine, I wouldn't worry about it. If it seems rich or blows black smoke under load, I'd try to measure the jet and go one size smaller.
(I've been told those jet # to inch translations, but no proof. Use at your own risk.)
