it was about 1967 I was 10 yrs. old and saw this big yellow tractor sitting in the neighbour's shed. he passed away short time later. estate asked dad if he wanted to buy the m.m. he said it burnt too much gas, so passed on it. I was kinda disappointed he didn't but it. as it turned out our close nieghbour bought it. he farmed with it a bit and it sat around his farm mostly. then he sold his farm and the tractor went with it. the new owner used the m.m. a bit for farming also. every so often I would enquire about the tractor. I left my ph. # with the owners mother and said call me when ready to sell it. but in the meantime she phoned my uncle instead of me and asked him if he wanted to buy the m.m. he said no I don't need it. my uncle just told me this this Christmas. so because of the ph. no. mixup yet another nieghbour bought the tractor. the tractor had been sitting in the same spot for I would say over twenty years. so this nieghbour got it going and drove it home. he had it for about the last 5 years and I found out he was moving so was going to sell it. well I didn't waste any time going to get it. it started right up and I drove it home 2 miles to my place. the poor tractor sat out in the weather almost all of its life since the estate sale and the last 5 years it was under shed. I have it under shed also. I has lots of rust on the tin now from neglect and still makes me think of that big yellow new looking tractor I used to see parked in the shed of original owner. this time period has covered about 48 years. I will leave it exactly as is , was thinking to clear coat the pantina.i have a rust yellow!
