Can you describe the frequency of the knock? (Regular or erratic? If regular is it twice per crank revolution, once a revolution or something else?) Does it occur at all speeds? Does the knock change with changing oil pressure or temperature? Are you certain it's coming from the governor and not from somewhere else - e.g. from the timing gear cover, crank pulley or water pump? Post back with more info and we'll try to help...
