Bama, as for your statement.... If I remember correctly, if the tractor is positively ground, the
wire from the distributor will need to go to the positive side of the coil and reversed if
negative ground.....this needs to read that the primary is always the primary and regardless of polarity of the battery the original coil needs to remain connected as it came from the factory but with a dropping resistor added in the circuit coming from the switch.
