My Grandpa did the same thing with the 1941 H in the fall of 1970. He KNEW it had a loose rod but didn't address the problem. While he was pulling 3 wagons of soybeans to the elevator, that rod flew out the side of the block. It cost him $500 for a block and engine overhaul. That would be roughly $2,000 in todays dollars.
