It will depend upon what you have for shop equipment. The inner bearing can be replaced with just pulling the PTO and removing the outer axle shaft bearing cap. Then push the axle out of the bull gear and move the gear aside. You can then access the bearing retainer and remove the bearing. It van be done that way but I wouldn't call it the easiest. Since the PTO opening in the H is so small I always remove the deck.
