If this is the same part number an F350 uses then the price is in the $70 range if I'm remembering it right from a year ago when I bought one from the dealer. Still a chunk of change but on the other hand this is your hydraulic system's only "filter" and to me it pays not to cut corners. The mesh is very fragile and I would question the integrity of a used one. My old one tore just by brushing against the edges of the hole when I pulled it out to check it. I won't be removing it again unless I have another new one on hand in case it happens again.
Just curious - if your's is missing the mesh was the mesh removed from the screen prior to installation or did it disintegrate into the system?
