Less Repair is on the wright track, most shifting problems on I H tractors are from out of adjustment . Check the free travel of the clutch pedal it should be about one inch , then adjust the transmission brake on the right side of the tractor , depress the clutch pedal down to the stop on the platform and hold it ther and have someone pull the pin out and hold the lever foward then adjust the clevis so the pin just slides in , then add one half to one turn and install the pin , ihave foud that some times that you have to go more if the linkage is badley woren. next the dump valve needs to be adjusted the best way i have found is to have someone hold the clutch pedal down( withengine running in park out of gear )hold pedal down back the dumpvalve bolt out till the oil lite comes on if it workes them turn it in till the lite goes out the add one turn. IF THE LITE DOES NOT WORK FIX THE LITE!
