Hey AZjbird my 2424 came from a cemetery where it was used for pulling and the pto was never used. I was told that lack of use could cause it to rust and lock up. Ive tried to b reak it loose with a bushhog to no avail. it will engage with a posthole digger but not a mower. If I am correct the 2 stage means that pushing the clutch in half way should allow the tractor to stop and the pto will not. This one will stop the tractor but not the pto when clutch is pushed all the way in. I dont know the year but its yellow and runs good. thanks for the reply. ange
