Stage II will have the hydraulic pump on the right front of the engine driven off the timing gears giving it live hydraulics. Stage I it's in the transmission and is not live hydraulics... that is the basic difference... you may already know without checking the S/N. Stage II might be worth a little more... maybe a couple hundred, due to the rarity and convenience.
