ON that one you will need to pull the deck off and remove the top shifter cover and also the side plate on the left side of the range transmission cover . When you pull the top cover off Rev, shifting fork will fall and you will not be able to reinstall . What you will find on rev. is (1) the key is worn in the rev. shifter shaft. (20 You may find that the detent plate and shifter cam is wore out . , next you will find that you have broken rollers . IF and again IF the Cam is still good you will need a new shifter shaft as the keyway is shot and the roll pin is broken . Most shifter problems are cause by slamming the shifter levers due to improper clutch adjustments and dump valve adjustments.
