Your original gen has three brushes and the gen looks like its still original Delco either a 1101355 or a 1101423 is your new reg made for that gen. Your batt wire will go to the batt terminal on the reg. Field to field and arm to gen. Your new reg has a coil thats mounted to the field on the reg and your old field wire going to the control will not be usd there should be instructions with the new reg. Just use an OHM meter to make sure reg is grounded to the gen and the gen has ground to the frame. Remember Pos ground on the battery and polarize gen when done. Did your new reg come from a good dealer and not from a farm supply outfit. I have used those regs on gens like you have and they have worked for many yrs. Your hi charge now will not be in the system as you dont use that wire which was the one going from the field on the gen to the control.
