I'll try to remain positive too but, frankly, your attitude stinks. Whatever he is paid, he agreed to do the job. He should do his best or find another job he likes better. I am sure he makes enough to pick up a few books on the subjects he covers. The auction lineup is known, so he can look up unusual items and give some actual facts instead of sitting up there phoning it in. It would be a wonderful thing to see more people with good values who care about what they do. It's not all about budgets and paychecks. You have to have some personal values too.
