All right I will take a whack at this seeing as nobody else has. Even though I have a 660 I have not done this. You need to remove a rectangular plate (5/8 x 1 1/4) on the side of the pump. It is held on by two machine screws. Rotate the motor slowly until you see a deep hole. At the bottom of the hole will be an allen-head screw. Probably 5/32 socket. It will require maybe 25-40 ft-lbs to turn. Turn clockwise to increase fuel. Start by turning only 60 degrees. Put the small plate back on and start the tractor. You should see a significant increase in power at full throttle. If it is not enough power turn the screw another 60 degrees. I would not exceed 180 degrees total. This adjustment is usually done when a turbocharger is added. Your exhaust will blacken appreciably without one. Another easy way to increase power on a diesel is to inject propane vapor in the intake. You could probably get 25-30 hp. You should also check your throttle linkage to make sure the pump is actually at "wide open throttle". I realize that diesels do not have throttles but I think you know what I mean.

Since this can be extremely difficult, you may want to fabricate the item or purchase a modern replacement temporarily, but eventually, you s
