Hi Will, The others gave you sound advice with Red trying for reality. Here's something for thought. If your buying the tractor for a need and not just for show and tell, then it would probably be worth the investment. If you get the tractor for $200 to $500 then put $4000 in parts in it, where else could you buy a almost new rebuilt AV for $4500 that would last you your life time. Thats providing the block or head isn't cracked or has major gear damage. It would be probably 20yrs before you could get your money back out of it. On the other hand, you can find a very nice already running AV anywhere for under $2500. T_Bone
