Many thanks David and Martin. One thing I failed to mention: this is a total restoration. I will completely disassemble the AV. I want to start by removing the front end as a unit, the raditor, all the stuff on the engine per Martin's suggestion and then remove the engine block (at the bell housing). I want to completely support the whole tractor at one time cause after I have the engine off and being rebuilt I'll need to remove the rear tires and rebuild the differ. and of course all seals and gaskets. Now I know you're asking yourself "What's this guy up to?". Well this was my grandfather's tractor and was given to me by my uncle. I want to restore it to new condition. I guess for the same reason a person would take a '34 ford coupe from a overgrown field and restore to showroom condition. Preservation of our "farm" past is just as important. It's not for money or a quick job for resale, but to keep around as a reminder of our aguarian past. Geee I wish YT has a spell checker on here.
