Hi Mike, Put the cap on and see how much pressure it builds. Becareful as if the head gasket is leaking it will build enough pressure to blow a hole in the radaitor or blow hot water all over you when you take the cap off. A Leaking head gasket will have alot of air bubbles, foam, or black floaters in the water. Put the thermostat in a pan of boiling water and see if it opens as new ones can be bad. Leave the water level low so you can see if the water pump is circulating, take the T-stat out and check this. If all this checks out then look and see if the lower radaitor hose is colasped because it doen't have a spring inside the hose. This usally only happens at high rpm's. Take the spark plugs out and look into the cylinders and see if you can see water. Do a compression test to see if two cylinders next to one another is low in compression. T_Bone
