The pressure plates on my MD disk brakes were glazed like that. I just used some fine sandpaper to rough them up a little. With the new linings, I don't think that would have been necessary though. The guy that relined them used a lining that has the metallic pieces in it and as I said, they work fine.

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
