A friend of mine recently ordered pistons for his 52 Cub. What he recieved were aluminum high dooms that the case dearler said were for the newer cubs ( tractors with serial no. 264568 and up). I also know that the newer Cubs have a bigger zenith carb. Can anyone answer these questions: With the new pistons, what was the compression on these cubs. How much more horse power are these newer cubs rated at. I think these upgrades only appeared on the newere style lowboys but im not sure. The case dearler couldnt help me, he said to ask all of you. My friend said with the new doomed pistons his cub did feel a lot stonger. Im planning on a rebuild this summer and this will help me decide if I should by the pistons or just mill the head. And no, I dont want to just buy an A. I know thats cheaper power but I love cubs and they fit in my garage. Thanks
