Folks will tell you that the rollers in the one way clutch need to be replaced, and that's true, but that's really just a band-aid, the whole ramp & carrier assembly needs to be replaced, and that requires 2 splits of the tractor, and there are a whole lot of other parts to look at "while you are there". You gotta love it to fix it right, cause it's big bucks. It will run a good long time in direct drive. That's why you see so many mechanical TA tractors with the TA lever removed.
