Hi Cleat, Now it clear as to what your doing. I just couldn't picture that in my mind. I would either rebuild the one you have, about $20 for seal kit or buy a new rebuildable cylinder from Northern Tools, about $135, and make your own mounting bracket. If you don't have a cylinder to go by, then use Stans pix, and make a trial cylinder piece, out of angle iron, to see if the mount and mount angle is correct for locating the cylinder on the frame.
