You must be Scott (saw your add in the Valley Trader). I'm up between Warrenton and Fredericksburg, and almost called you too, but decided I didn't want to part with mine yet! It's a model 31, currently on my Super H. I called the guy you bought from (Billy Green?) a week or so ago and had a good talk with him, sounds like he does have quite a collection. I understand the easy way to tell the difference between the 30 and 31 loader is the support that goes behind the steering wheel. On the 30 it is apparently an angle iron (with a vertical component to it), where on the model 31 it is just a piece of flat stock that goes across. When I talked to Billy, what he describeb to me sounded like the model 31, but he did have a couple to choose from. The 31 apparently replaced the 30 around 1950. the pipe loaders (models 32/33/34) were out by the mid 50's with the number series tractors. Good Luck with it, Stan(VA).
