Dad used to use His Super M-TA on a jd 25 then a jd 30 combine. His '51 M would outpull the M-TA so I'd have to say the M on an IHC 80 or 82 would be fine. I think the combines only had the 113 cid A or B engine on them when they weren't PTO driven. Dad also pulled the wagon along side the combine to unload on-the-go, so He was pulling much more weight. IH photo archives show H's pulling the engine driven 80's & 82's, and would maybe handle the load on level ground of a PTO driven, but as said earlier would be a low gear proposition.
