Hey Jim - Look at the right side of the oil pan beneath the engine. You should find a pair of small test cocks with oval-shaped stamped metal handles on them. Loosen (turn counter-clockwise) both cocks, starting with the upper one. If oil drips from the upper cock, the crankcase level full. If oil drips from the lower but not the upper, oil level is within 1 quart of full. If no oil appears at either cock, the oil level is more than a quart low - refill until oil appears at the upper cock. I presume you know where to add oil into the crankcase?
