I have a Ford 4000 3-cylinder diesel between 1970-1975. I posted a message in regard to a hydraulic problem on this forum earlier. They suggested that I open the lift control valve cover to check for stick unload valve. I did and discovered that something was missing between the top cover hole and the hydraulic fluid return pipe (exhaust pipe). The return pipe was about an inch lowered below the top cover hole and it has a rubber ring on the return pipe which I believe it has some kind of extension or bushing to extend between the return pipe and the top cover hole. Does anyone know if there’s any kind of extension or bushing around that area? If it does, what is it and what is called? If anyone can give me the part number that will be helpful. I will try to attached the hydraulic lift control cover. The red square marked is what I referred to.
