Ford's original idea was to use 30 weight HD (high detergent) motor oil everywhere. I also had an old Euclid / Tyrex BullDozer. It used 20 weight motor oil in all it's hydraulics. More than 50 gallons worth! The advantage of any HD motor oil is that it does not foam too much and is also brand switchable...(Mobile, Shell, Chevron, Tidewater etc). Other lubricants and hydraulic fluids are not so versitle. Bill / Eaglewerks
