,At $2500 a pop, this would make payments on a tractor of a different color. I would be telling my dealer exactly this. {assuming your dealer has been doing these "repairs"}
There are different pumps for these tractors, seems no two tractors are built alike, anymore. Are the pumps being dismantled for inspection to see what is failing? Swapping pumps without determining the cause of failure is a poor way to fix something. Someone is eventually going to run out of money, so it is time to get serious.
When an injection pump fails early, it is almost always for these reasons: 1- Water in the fuel - {likely} 2- Dirt in the fuel from improper filtration or poor maintainence of the filtering system - {also likely} 3- Bad fuel, improperly blended or contaminated with gasoline - {a little less likely} 4- Thermal shock, causing seizure, Like pouring cold water on a hot pump - {a little less likely} 5- Hydraulic lock, causing seizure, like an injector nozzle that is stuck closed - {a little less likely} 6- External distortion, causing seizure - something touching the pump case putting pressure on the internal components - {also less likely}
All this is assuming you have a pump built to original specs and quality. My friend Don from Thompson Diesel down in Tulsa tells me horror stories about some of the "reman" pumps on the market.
