Plowing has a lot to do with line of draft. I've see one tractor pull five bottoms while another tractor being the same pull hard to get four down the field. Cuss'n and swearing all the way it was a crap plow. The best setup for plow and tractor will make a world of difference. I have an old IH plow book and it shows how the tire spacing and plow need to be set up for best and most economical plowing. Rusty or not if's set up it will plow.
