I was able to convince the family member that writes the checks to repair the PTO - the 56 year old brother helping me has no decision making privileges and the 76 year old mother still owns the tractor - quite the operation --anyway -- The pto brake has no lining left -the locking pin is still perfect and the release spring looks good, but I will replace it -It is too bad that the gear has to be replaced, but that is all that Deere stocks -I suppose they improved the design?? I convinced the check writer that the clutch discs look okay, and the separator plates are flat, but should be replaced now - the clutch discs measure .112" down to .107" - new spec in book is 112 to .188 the separator plates are not shiny -black in colour and some etching -the tractor has not really been used for 8 years, condensation or burnish? I can get more pics -- What do you guys think about the discs and plates?-I won"t be any closer to replace them --
