My observation of Speccast is that their models are priced like "Collector Edition" Ertl models, but are really not much different in quality than regular "shelf" model ERTL models. As for the difference in quality and value between ERTL "Shelf" and "Collector" models, the "collector models, while using the same castings (generally but not always) add a FEW extra details---the gas cap may be present, better quality and more realistic wheels (especially the wheel center castings), perhaps including a wfe or a different engine. Also, a lot FEWER "Collecter" models are usually made. I have found it a lot more difficult to find GOOD Specast models to collect. Mostly, I have found some crawlers---BO Lindemann and M/40/420 models. I wish I could find a 2520 model. I used to have quite a few non-JD specast models, but I have since concentrated on the Green and Yellow ones. JMHO
