You're abosolutely right about Racing Champions/Ertl buying out Britains, which is probably not good for the farm toy collector. Racing Champions bought Ertl two or three years ago, and the emphasis has changed from farm toys to NASCAR and other racing things. One good thing will be happening starting this fall. The National Farm Toy Show special edition tractor will be in 1/32. A lot of collectors in the U.S. do not like 1/32, but I think there is a lot of good detail without the excess size of 1/16.
