By "sales banner", do you mean triangular? If so, no, it's rectangular.

It doesn't have eyelets for a rope, but does have it's own rope-sewn into one end, with one of those wooden handle thingies on one end of the rope like what a heavy parka has for fasteners. It also has a sleeve sewn into it for a dowel, or round tubing. I have no idea how it was hung.
