I wouldn't do it to my precisions, but I've put 'em in the dishwasher (minus the soap) for a minute or so in the past. Can't leave 'em in to long on account of the heat, but for a quick wash it worked good. Disclaimer: the above advice is best done when the wife isn't at home...
