I just got back from going to take some things down to Mitch this afternoon. Went out to the house place and nothing but some brick walls and a fireplace were left. The folks that got there first were able to get his 78 F 250 out of the carport. His 1566 was sitting right beside the house and someone tried to pull it out of the way with a 2 wheel drive with no luck. About that time the firetruck got there and while the chain was still hooked to the tractor they pulled it ouf of the way as the house was too far gone. The battery on the left side of the tractor got hot enough it started to melt but that was the only damage. As Brick can testify, everyone in that area knows everyone and they have lots of family. When I left lots of folks were bringing in clothes and food to his Mother's house where they will be camped out for now. They were in good spirits but I know were running on pure shock mode, probably has sunk in more by now.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
