My mothers cousin worked in the factory in Lansing. He gave me boxes and boxes of the toys. He still lives in Lansing, but I'm not sure if he can remember real well because of the addition of birthdays.
Seems to me the factory shut down in the earky eighty's --- I had alot of birthdays also since then. From what I remember they often (towards the end) had trackless tires on the rear (like military truck tires)
As a toy, they were not the True Scale / Ertl quality, we refered to them as sand box toys, and the rest were shelf toys.
I have not looked for yers, but I think they made a grader, drag, sickle mower, and maybe even a fire truck. I also got it in my head they made smaller scale ones at one time or another.
I also think the same toy got different paint colors
In my mind, I just can't see them being worth alot of money, but I haven't been real interested the last dozen years.
I had over $12,000.00 (plus) toys stolen, if there are any of those left they will probably be heading towards the auction house in a month or two. My intention is to help you, not undercut, or steal another offer that has been posted.
Another option is there is a store in that town that most folks will never see in this life time, and once you see it you rub your eyses for months wondering what the heck you seen. If that ol boy doesn't have some of the old toys, I would be surprised, if he could find them in his store in a YEAR OR LESS, I WOULD BE EVEN MORE SURPRISED.
I now wonder if anyone has ever been in the store, if so you probably can't read this post because you are still rubbing your eyes.
If I remember again correctly, that store is about two blocks West from the toy factory.
