WOW! So much poor attitude, so many completely inaccurate comments! For the record, International Harvester did NOT go bankrupt. TENNACO bought them and merged them with J.I.Case that they had purchased as part of the Kerns County Land Company in 1972. And "Puke Red"? REALLY? Unless you were speaking about the first Case-IH tractors that were very obviously J.I.Case tractors painted red, As a former FARMALL employee I found that the absolutely worst thing CIH could possibly have done. NO IH buyer would buy one, and even Case users wouldn't want one. Terrible decision by those marketing idiots. The one thing CIH does deserve credit for is funding the proper testing to make the new CIH MAGNUMS the best possible tractor available when it finally hit dealer's lots.
