Mr. Powers, I have viewed the picture of your wrench.What a treasure!It appears to pre-date any power machinery.In the 1800s and 1900s, Planet Junior produced vegetable and fieldcrop cultivators.The extensive line included horse and human powered implements.Provided with these tools was a wrench that fit all the nuts and bolts on the implement. I have -- and employ -- a Planet Junior No.17 wheelhoe which includes a wrench similar to yours.Overall length is 6 1/2 inches.The open and box ends are 5/8 inch.The small hammer face on the open end is for loosening dirt and attachments.My wrench is solid-cast with M23 part number.Your ornately cast tool may trace to the early days of Planet Junior manufacture in 1800s.
