If it was me and I weighed what you do (I'm close) I would use a piece of pipe so I am pushing down 3 feet from the nut and put as much of my weight on it as I could and still be on my feet. Based on plain math you could eat a big meal, put on some heavy boots and stand on a point 2' out from the nut and be good.
