A couple reasons. 1st.. some dealers painted their older tractors with newer color schemes to make them look more modern.. in order to help them sell. Some owners may have done this too.. even unknowingly.. as in.. many 9n/2n get the 'redbelly painjob because the owner just doesn't know the difference. Might be the same with yours.. All the owner knew was that ford in recent years ( 60? and up ) was blue grey.. The other option is personal taste.. they may have just liked it that color.. A few months ago someone posted a tie die/rainbow painted NAA.. Here is what my 2n looked like when i got it.. There is much debate on the ford paint standards.. many have tried to match up good paint samples. I used tsc's BPS paint.. and used their light ford grey... it is a cream or ivory.. I used ferguson grey when i finally painted my 2n back to 'oem' color scheme. There are just about as many opinions on paint as there are paints.. Soundguy
