Hey Corvette8N- Here's a picture of my 1948 8N restored two summers ago. I found a 1948 MICHIGAN FARM license plate to add to my original, rare TAURUS taillight and bracket for when I take her to shows or parades. Many states did not require tractors to be licensed, Michigan included, but they did require other vehicles like trucks to be licensed, hence the term FARM on the plate. Don B sells NOS brackets and DUOLAMP taillight repros. TAURUS taillights were used up until 1949/1950 when they were switched to DUOLAMP. I have an orignal TAURUS for sale if interested. I also have an original worklight with the C.M. Hall Lamp Co; Detroit, MI diamond logo. Comes with original brackets too. Oh, yeah, parts for the TAURUS and the DUOLAMP are not interchangeable. Don B. also sells a repro worklight exact-as-original. Not a stockholder, just another satisfied customer! I still search yard sales, auctions, and plate clubs for my ideal plate: A 1948 MICHIGAN FARM plate with my tractor serial number or a close combination of the same! Tim Daley(MI) *8N15513*

Since I am looking at older tractors that have probably been through it all, is it better to buy diesel? I do expect to have to do a good bit of work on
