Her's a pix of what you should have,,, this is my own tractor sooooooooo I used all the good used parts I had in my stash,,,, For the record if I were do'n a brake job on your tractor (customer pay) it would git NEW sprangs,,,, most of the brake problems I see here are (my bet) the sprangs are worn out and will not retract the shoes as they should,,, worst case the left side would git new hardware,,, Never will the left brake B as aggressive as the right brake,,, the left brake mechanism does not have the mechanical advantage the right brake has....
You can waist you time as you please,,,, keep in mind the sprangs are 50 years old,,, new hardware will perform as designed,,, on your tractor car or truck.....
