Tom.......Ah yes, a full dress "flattie" (be still my heart) in what is commonly known as a "Funk" conversion. There were about 250 "Funk" V8 dealer installed conversions back in the early fifties. Most "Funks" were inline 6-cyls (about 8000) which have greater low speed torque for pulling 3-blade plows. Normal 26hp 4-cyl N's can only pull 2-blade plows.
The use of external gastank (pony keg) cleverly solves a carb filter interference problem with the stock hood mounted gastank and leaves the hoodline in normal position. Dealer installed Funks had a "raised" hood extension to clear the carbs and I think ugly.
