Looks like you could also use something like this. It's a sliding top link. At full length the implement rests against the stops on the link. It is free to slide to a shorter length. In other words, if you were strong enough you could pick up the implement because the only thing holding it down is it's own weight.

I use it all the time on my brush hog and sometimes on my box blade when I want to scrape with a light cut such as scraping off new weed seedlings.

Never seen one for sale anywhere so I guess they are only home made as this one evidently was. It was on my tractor when I purchased it. I had to buy a regular adjustable top link that I use on the box blade when I want an aggressive cut.
