Many years ago my Dad and I took the John deere H and a trailer out to the pasture to collect some stone for a project.Parked the rig on a slight down grade.We got a good load of stone on.Dad threw on a big stone, the H went chuff and it was off and running down the hill.I jumped on the trailer and steered the tractor onto a level spot.So you can start a John Deere with a stone.Never thought that a mag kill switch would generate so many posts.An old friend used to shut off his lawn mower with his thumb and finger when the spring shut off broke.You could try that to shut down the 9N if you could stand it .Beware of the crank.Repeated shocks from an ignition can make you pee in your pants.
