JMOR,
The generator is off of a JD 45, self propeled combine, equiped with a F-145 JD motor. They are 12volt Delco-Remy, 12 volt can coil, with no resistor or ballast (unless it is in the wire from the switch in the cab) and 12 volt starter.
The voltage regulator is from "tri-star" and is a +, -, compatable with a delco generator.
What I like about this setup, is the retention a + ground and resistor on the dash, that elinate some of the heat on the 6 volt coil, for front mount distributors.
I used the 3.25 ohm can coil off the combine for my Denso 12 volt Ford 600 conversion.
I also saved all the hydraulic off the combine which has 2 T valves and 2 one way cynlinders for later use for front snowplow with hydraulic angle, or now I plan on adding a cherry picker to my woodsplitter, since the Doc says" new Hip , only 50# lifting)
Planning winter projects already. Big turf tires are in granary for sale but rims are for my next 9N.

Today's Featured Article - Antique Tractors a Passing Fad? - by Tractor Talk Forum Participants. A Talk of the Town article - Do you see antique tractors going out like a fad? Value has come down this winter. An example is the Ford Model A and T cars that went through this in years ago, along with the hit & miss engine. Will the younger generation move on to something else? Will it be harder to sell them and what models will be affected? Could we see the value crash on our rusty relics? ... [Read Article]
