Fuel it was. Got it to light off on starting fluid but it wouldn't hit a lick on WD-40 or run on it's own. Began to suspect bad fuel so I drained the tank - great flow, the fuel looked pristine, and I was beginning to doubt my diagnosis. Removed the beauitiful rebuilt carb I got from Gary about 9 months ago and popped the top. Yuck - the gasket had partially disentegrated leaving a gummy mess all over everything and a puddle of nasty yellow gas in the float bowl. Guess its time for a thorough cleaning and another rebuild. So who makes a kit with a gasket that stands up to modern fuel?
